At Pitzer, students spend four years examining the ethical implications of knowledge and individual responsibility in making the world better. They learn to evaluate the impact of individual and collective actions manifested in social and political policies.
What will my gift will do?
Pitzer is integrating the diverse components of its programs by establishing the Institute for Global/Local Action & Study. Unique among liberal arts colleges, the Institute will provide the academic and administrative infrastructure for interdisciplinary “global/local” curricular research, programs and activities. Pitzer students average over 45,000 hours of community service annually, which is reinforced with numerous courses. Through the Vaccine Development Institute, Pitzer students are positioned precisely where our values point us: on the horizon of scientific discoveries that will spare suffering and save lives. Gifts to the Pitzer College Annual Fund will continue to foster this sense of social justice in our students, which, in turn, will improve both our global and local communities.
What are the potential outcomes?
By investing in the Pitzer College Annual Fund, you have the chance to ensure that future generations receive the gift of a Pitzer College education – the foundation from which they can transform the world. Now more than ever, the world needs what Pitzer offers.
